#BeProud and the Foundation origin
Campaign history
After the August 5, 2012 attack on the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, the Foundation launched #BeProud as a public stand against hate, discrimination, and fear.
The campaign asked people to move beyond tolerance toward solidarity, dignity, belonging, and constructive public action.

Remembering Uvalde
Campaign history
The memorial names the 19 children and two teachers killed at Robb Elementary School on May 24, 2022.
Remembering each life keeps the human cost of gun violence at the center of the call for prevention.

Campaign history
The 2022 campaign called for stronger background checks and civic pressure after the shootings in Uvalde and Buffalo.
