Founder context

Gurbaksh Chahal

Gurbaksh Chahal founded the Foundation in 2012 after the attack on the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The Foundation's first public campaign, #BeProud, called on people to reject hate, discrimination, and fear.

The mission later expanded across education, child protection, food access, safety and justice, and emergency response through campaigns, scholarships, advocacy tools, partnerships, and humanitarian initiatives.
